Environmental Policy

Whilst our day-to-day business activities do not significantly contribute to harmful emissions we are in a very unique position to empower a large section of the business community and help facilitate positive change.

By partnering with Climate Friendly, Travelforce has neutralised all direct greenhouse emissions associated with our business through investing in renewable energy projects that meet the highest global accreditation standards.

Travelforce has strategies in place to reduce its carbon emissions, including reducing paper usage by 5% each year.

Clients

• Travelforce provides our clients with a direct link from our website to a carbon emission calculator which determines the emissions resulting from their travel. Our clients can neutralise their emissions by purchasing green energy credits through Climate Friendly.
• Our clients have the ability to reduce paper usage by receiving invoices and itineraries online through Ascent Mytrip and Ascent GETS.
• Travelforce discourages the need for travel request forms to be faxed and makes use of Fax to Email technologies to run our internal fax systems paperless.

Suppliers

• Travelforce has a preference to purchase from suppliers who share our commitment to the environment.
• Obsolete I.T hardware and office furniture is offered to our staff in the first instance. We then engage local charities or removalists to reuse or recycle.
• Printer cartridges are recycled.
• Travelforce uses biodegradable cleaning products.
• Travelforce lights are powered by sensor switches.

Employees

• Travelforce promotes a clean energy economy through our internet and intranet sites.
• Travelforce employees are encouraged to reduce waste and have access to recycling bins and paper shredders.
• Where possible Travelforce employees walk to meetings or use the train.
• The Travelforce Kitchen promotes recycling.
• Our employees support "Clean up Australia" Day.
